The listing, Deluxe Purple Amethyst 10KT Yellow Gold Filled Ring Size 10 has ended.

This ring was a gift, cause i am a amethyst person, but it was a size 10, the first 3 pictures are the item pictures and the last 3 pictures are the real thing. it's very pretty but it's too big, and i like my rings a little less fancy. it will come in a little gift box, that you can give it as a gift to someone with a bigger finger. it's said it was 10kt yellow gold filled, but not sure what that means, so don't get too excited, cause i have no idea what it means by gold filled.

BTW Gold filled is when the jeweler uses a base metal - cheap metal scrap metal Then they take the good metal, in this case 14k gold, and coat it, "fill it". It is not the same as plated, plated is just a thin top coat, but filled is a sturdier option, it uses a thin sheet of gold that is smelted onto the base metal. Electro plate is when the ring is put in a bath solution that chemically places the thinnest layer of gold possible on the ring that then wears off with minimal contact. Filled is not as good as solid, but is still better than plated. It makes a thicker layer of gold that will not easily rub off.

I was born on the cusp, January 31st at 11:42 PM, so since I hate garnet, I always felt I was meant for amethyst since I connect to it, am drawn to it. So if the Dr had not induced labor, and opted C-section, I would of been February 1st, that was my star alignment without intervention lol. I always felt garnet looked like coagulated blood, but amethyst like a purple crystal. I have a 6 pound raw amethyst that was a Christmas gift that sits on my coffee table. I really am not letting this one go, lol. My "meant-to-be" stone and my size, I can not overlook that. :)
