You can do the magnet test. If it attaches to a magnet it is not real. Copper, gold, silver and aluminum will not attach to magnets. it is always best to take jewelry to jeweler so they can check to see what a piece is for free before you list an item. you can also buy testing supplies off ebay or amazon which will give you same results as jeweler will give you. hope this helps. It may be hun but you should consider and remember that copper and aluminum also does not attach. If you can and I ask this nicely as I do win lots of jewelry take this to your local jeweler so they can test for free and tell you exactly what this ring is? I am highly allergic to other metals and can only wear silver or gold. TY

A jeweler's loupe is perfect for finding the 14k mark or the 925 on silver. I found my loupe on amazon for a very reasonable price.
