JUST BEAUTIFUL! This triple strand vintage necklace has a gorgeous mix of various shades of blue and green vintage beads, it is graduated so the beads are smaller towards the back and get larger towrds the front, ending a spectacular focal point of mixed color beads.

The clasp is silver tone, is a hook type clasp, and is marked "JAPAN".

The necklace is 16 1/2 inches from one end to the other.

I don't know the age exactly, but I have been collecting vintage jewelry for years, and I can make an educated guess from the style of the hook and the 3 prong finding it is most likely late 50's to mid-late 60's. I got it at an estate sale a few years ago.

Are the beads painted???? if so does the paint chip off????? thanks and welcome.

Yes, the beads are painted, BUT there are many layers of paint and lacquer so they don't chip or flake. The clear blue beads are lucite which isn't painted. The metal accents are a silver-colored metal (not silver) and are not painted. Also, this has been knocked around in my jewelry box for 6-7 years and there isn't a scratch or a chip anywhere on it.
