Well all you really have to do is mix the solution in warm water, and you put the base rock in the tray in comes with. But you have to safe some solution to poor on the top of the base rock to it grows all around. I did one before, and I didn't dissolve the solution in the water right so the water ended up turning into a flat sheet of crystal xD. Thats why I say to follow the instructions carefully, everything you need is in the box.
