These are from China & state 5X but are nowhere near 5X. I usually wear XL & they are between XL & 1 X-dimensions given, brand new came in my leggings lot but I have too many & won't wear. These are more for spring, summer, fall as they are a bit lighter, have deer, aztec Indian symbols colors of black brown & white with elastic waist to be worn with a long top, over swimwear, with halters, etc

*Waist without stretching is 17" across, stretching adds probably another 4-5 inches-could certainly fit a 40" waist
