The listing, JAPANESE - PHILIPPINE INVASION WWII MONEY - SCARCE has ended.
This is the money that the Japanese used to replace the peso currency when they invaded the Philippines during World War II. This is scarce and even in the Philippines, this is really hard to find. Only few people have this note at present.
Beginning with the capture of the Philippines, the Japanese military confiscated all hard currency, both on a federal and individual level, replacing it with locally printed notes bearing a proclamation of military issue. All notes bear the name of the issuer, “The Japanese Government” while some notes proclaim the “promises to pay the bearer on demand”. Called “Mickey Mouse Money” by local Filipinos.
Bank note is still kinda crispy. It has few folds and stains. Item on the pictures is the actual item that the winner will get.
Have a fun bidding to all!
