(42) Queen Elizabeth II Machin Stamps in this collection. -

The Machin series /ˈmeɪtʃɪn/ of postage stamps is the main definitive stamp series in the United Kingdom, used since 5 June 1967. It is the second series to figure the image of Elizabeth II, replacing the Wilding series.

Designed by Arnold Machin, they consist simply of the sculpted profile of the Queen and a denomination, and are almost always in a single colour.

After five decades of service, the series has encompassed almost all changes and innovations in British stamp printing. This has been encouraging an abundant specialised philatelic collectors' market and associated literature.

Arnold Machin's 1964 effigy of the Queen was replaced on British coins in 1984 by an older-looking effigy by Raphael Maklouf. However, the effigy on British Machin stamps has never been updated, and the last proposals to these ends were rejected by the Queen herself.

After you purchase an auction, go to the shippin sheet and click the little radio button that says to ship to me or has your address. When it is ready, Listia will provide this box for you. It can take a day or two, but be patient. You can purchase early, but I will have to wait for the address before I can process for shipping.

Got the order and will ship this week as I shall be late due to a double eye infection and it is difficult to see for a very long period of time. Thanks again.

Can I ask. What year are they

Several years. You can look them up in Colnect.com - Stamps, Country, United Kingdon, Theme: Queens (page 4) or by the denomination, find the year and take out the denomination and look at the year, but you will have to do it for each year.

Here is a link to the first one, so that will help you the most:

https://colnect.com/en/stamps/list/country/224-United_Kingdom_of_Great_Britain_Northern_Ireland/theme/2196-Queens/page/4

This is what stamp collecting is all about - finding the information on your stamps as you collect them. Have fun and come back often. You never know what I'll put up next!
