This *NEW* bead is a silver alloy that I sent off to a jeweler in Rhode Island to have finished in 14k yellow gold. It is a beautifully done finish that is hard to tell from the "real thing." It is a thick layer that won't wear off within a couple of weeks like typical gold plating. This bead is threaded to screw onto your bracelet or necklace. It is compatible with major brand name Euro bead systems (ie. Pandora, Chamilia).
