You are bidding on one cluster of baby onions (average 4-7 babies per cluster). Freshly harvested Egyptian Walking onion sets. This perennial multiplies itself and grows in zones 3-9. Zones 3-5 they die off on top of soil after hard frost or snow, but bulbs below soil continue and pop up each spring. Baby bulbs can be eaten or planted. Plant in early spring for onions by early summer. You can cut the stems to use as chives and let the onion bulbs continue to grow, or harvest them while young as baby greens, or let them mature and they will provide you with many baby bulbs for more plants or eating.These are organically grown, 3rd generation (years) from my garden and by leaving some in the ground in fall, they come back every year. Each plant generates 4-12 baby onion seedlings as well as the parent tasty bulb.
