Unfortunately, their meeting is fleeting and this quintessential hip party girl is left in unfamiliar territory--smitten by a total stranger. Determined to see her best friend happy, Courtney Rockliffe (Christina Applegate) takes Christina on a road trip to Peter's sleepy California hometown in search of the man of her dreams. In the meantime, Christina's roommate, the just-dumped Jane Burns (Selma Blair), engages in her own lusty pursuits. Diaz and Applegate have great chemistry and are utterly believable as best friends.
