Does this grow in one large clump or does this spread out wide along the ground and spread?

It is up to you, if you plant all of it to gather it will grow in a big clump, but if you want it to grow in like a line or border then you have to help it out a little, you will take it in parts and plant it in the line you want it to grow about 2 to 3 feet apart and as it grows they all will grow to gather. and it will grow wider also.
