All it takes is just put the cactus in regular potting soil and add a little sand if you have it. and it will take off. This plant is very unusual cactus This will be a hole plant. The third picture is of my plant

Do you know what the minimum night time winter temperature is for this one? I don't heat my house at night and it can get down close to freezing in here.

I really not know - we've always had a little heat on, But I think it would be ok. It's a pretty hardy plant I had it a long time -
