Actually anything over twenty years old is considered an antique. This watch is an older watch, it belonged to my mother. I have several watches that I have either listed or I am going to be listing this week that belonged to her. Thank you for your comments.
I have to agree with Raz, this is Not antique. You could, however, pass it off as vintage. http://www.antique-hq.com/the-difference-between-antique-vintage-and-collectible-item-127
As you and Raz can see I edited this auction to also list the watch as Vintage. However, I did take the watch to my friend today and he stated that it could be listed as both vintage and antique because it is an older piece. The definition antique doesn't have to totally meet the requirements of 100 years or older. If you look at some of the antique cars they are much newer than hundred years or so. Some are even from the 60's, as this watch is from the same era. Thank you for your comments.
Thank you, that is why I changed it to Antique Vintage. Most people consider something with this watch's age an antique. While it's true because it takes a battery it isn't that old, but battery operated watch's have been around a while. I still have several watches that you have to wind for them to work. Including a Dale Evans and a Cinderella watch. Neither of them will make an appearance on Listia. LOL
It's clips around the wrist and you can wear it showing the time or wear the watch face enclosed inside the bracelet. Since it is considered a clip on I'd say the size is between a size 5 expandable up to a size 7. Probably no one noticed the spring in the back, the watch is clip on, and the face front and be worn outside or inside the band. I hope this helps.
