The listing, Kalanchoe - cute little baby plants ready for new home has ended.
Rooted baby Kalanchoe baby plant.
Kalanchoe need to be watered thoroughly and then allowed partially to dry out before watering. A fast-draining soil is important. The kind that is sold for cactus is ideal Kalanchoe are succulents, they do not need as much humidity as most houseplants. They do well with average indoor humidity. They prefer full sun but will also do well in a situation with very high light. If grown for very long without enough light, they become leggy and weak. The mother plant had been straggly, I had to cut it back so I started babies.
The flowering Kalanchoe is known in England as Flaming Katy because when it is kept in bright sunlight, the leaves develop lots of red along the edges. These babes have been outside for the summer and starting to show the red tinge on the leaves. Keeping it inside will change the leaves back to green.
I have rooted this babe in an empty toilet paper roll with dirt and will mail out potted in it.
As much as I want my babies to go to a good home, I am going to have to ask for assistance in shipping costs. I will send winner my paypal information.
