Description

The listing, Lot of 925 Stamped Jewelry has ended.

GOTCHA! These are 925 stamped but they are NOT STERLING SILVER! These are FAKE! So far everything with the teardrop shaped lobster claw claps i have won, have been fakes. If you sold one of these to me<Thanks for nothing! If you are selling these as sterling silver you are either lying or ignorant of the fact that they are fakes. also the ones with the large 925 on the clasps are fakes too.
All of these are plated brass!
Please bid accordingly!
I only ship to listia verified addresses!!!!
How do i know there fake? I test everything with acid before making up stories or flat out lying to you!

All bids final!

I have gotten a lot of fake silver on here too. I am now leary of any silver that is "brand new" especially if it seems like they have a lot of it or got it just for putting on Listia. They are getting it super cheap on Ebay out of China most likely.

We can talk. but my best suggestion to anyone is to go on other sites and get the testing kits for the metals you choose to deal in. they run around 6bucks and come with the scratching stone. also if you use it use it on stone and dont destroy your antique finishes. i usually scratch an edge that needs wear and tear marks rubbed out. as the stone will sightly polish the piece. then i do it again in the same spot to make sure i didnt just test a plating.

Oh my! The little tags on the ball chain ones look like some I have! Dang they sure look real! But its not only the silver you have to watch out for, I've also ran across some gold earrings that the hinged posts were marked as gold, but the hoop part was not real! Very disappointing... Good luck everyone!

If you have the time could you measure the necklaces end to end? When I'm looking for mens necklaces, 9 times out of 10 they are not big enough to go around a real mans neck unless the guy has a chicken neck. lol

cool idea anonymous :) it also isn't just online in the auctions etc..stores are also carrying these items, and either they are not aware of them being real silver or just trying to rip people off. Too many pieces are coming from asia, stamped 925 and they are ONLY silver plated.

You should also dispute the auction and get your credits back, then you'll be able to leave negative feedback to warn Listians about the fraud they've perpetrated. This is IF they described their item as silver. If they said they "don't know if it's real" well then, yr $#!t out of luck.

What your doing is a very good idea...expose the scammers, but by placing pics of the bad items others may recognize them and the seller...HOORAY FOR YOU!!!!

yea, but if someone actually bids, i gotta pay for shipping. Small price to pay to rid myself of these scammers. also blocked that yummy81's junk! no more crap filling up my search results. if i notice your just a corporate type seller, ill probably just block the person. tired of having to search through all the junk to find the quality.

Ouch! >_< I have some silver to put up, so I'll be sure to note from now on that it says "Italy" on it, or at least is soldered to the rest of the piece. You can get .925 tags from jewelry supply sites and catalogs for a ridiculously low price. Looks like the scammers caught on. :( I had that with a pair of earrings I won on here. Supposedly silver, but they were plated brass. They were awesome looking regardless, but still. Off to change the drafts for my listings. Thanks! Solidarity, right? ^-~

Yeah I've gotten a couple with 925 hooks but I've gotten burned waaaay more by rings. The pics make them look like a million dollars but are worn to the nub when you get them or never delivered at all and then the person isn't showing up as a member.
