What is an ACEO/ATC? Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards (2-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches) and small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The excitement in collecting ACEO/ ATC cards developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. The cards are usually traded or exchanged. When sold, they are usually referred to as Art Card Editions and Originals (ACEOs).
About Point Sur Lighthouse:
Jutting out into the Pacific Ocean from the spectacular Big Sur Coast, the Point Sur Light station stands as a silent sentinel to a by-gone era. From 1899 until 1974, families lived and worked in the buildings atop Pt. Sur. Today Point Sur is a ghost gown. The unique stone lighthouse still guides ships with its light, though it is now totally automated. Point Sur, a National Historic Landmark, is the only complete turn-of-the-century light station open to the public in California.
