NO, they come back year after year, they will die down in winter and start back in spring.

yea it is and my daughter buys these every year in a pot and then they die and she just gets one every summer,so what you are saying if i put it in the ground it will grow back is that right??

Yes they will, the ones she is getting wont come back she needs to read the tag next time she gets them, it will tell her the kind she is getting has to be taken in
