Offered for bidding are two antique 1950s handkerchiefs. Each are cotton, each in clean and pressed condition. Both have a floral design: one with predominately pink and orange flowers on a very pale green background, and the other with a mini yellow and brown floral loop repeat with bright yellow center. Both have very minor wear from aging and use, as to be expected. The pink/orange floral hankie has butterflies and greenery with a scalloped edge. There is an extremely light stained area which does not stand out. The scallped edge has come undone in a few areas. The predominately yellow hankie has a hand-stitched rolled hem with one 1/8" area that is undone. Again, very light stain marks but not too bad. Someone took the time to hand-stitch this sweet little hankie and added either white french knots or repeat stitches on some of the flowers, which is quite cute and adds texture! Both measure approximately 12" square. Nice!
