"Dear Reader-
This book is a collection of the information and techniques I have used while teaching knit sewing classes. It isn't the only book on the market that deals with knit sewing, but I feel it has some advantages in that it teaches techniques to be used with all patterns, not just patterns of a certain company.

Sewing becomes more enjoyable when you can create. This comes from understanding the how and why of doing things, rather than just following instructions. If you learn to apply a neckband to one pattern, you should be able to do it to another. If you know how to change a dart on one pattern, you will also know how to change it on many others. Understand the general rather than the specific and your world of sewing will expand.
