Description

The listing, Vintage Timex Sinclair 1000 Personal Computer with extras has ended.

This is a vintage personal computer that connects to older televisions. I have no way of testing if it works or not. It comes with all the components, instruction manual, additional RAM, and three different applications on cassettes. This would make a great edition to someone's collection of old computers. As you can see, I have the original packaging. The main box has a few scuffs in the corners.

I only except PayPal or USPS Money Order for shipping. I will ship to Puerto Rico at no extra cost. if this passes 80,000 credits or if GIN is used, I will do free shipping.

Here is the Wikipedia description of this model:

" The Timex Sinclair 1000 (TS1000) was the first computer produced by Timex Sinclair, a joint-venture between Timex Corporation and Sinclair Research. It was launched in July 1982.

The TS1000 was a slightly modified Sinclair ZX81 with an NTSC RF modulator instead of a UK PAL (Units sold in Portugal have a PAL RF modulator) device and the onboard RAM doubled to 2 kB. The TS1000's casing had slightly more internal shielding but remained the same as Sinclair's, including the membrane keyboard. It had black and white graphics, and no sound. It was followed by an improved version, the Timex Sinclair 1500.

HOLY COW!! What an auction! This was one of the first computers that I ever learned on back in the 80's. I wish you good luck on this, but I'd be surprised if anyone else even knew what this was. And before anyone asks - no it doesn't go online! :-)

If you (or anyone else) would like more info on this: I have it in my museum at:

unfortunately, I didn't get to experience the joy of programming in Basic becuase I'm a 90s kid. although, I have wriiten a few programs for my TI-83+ calculator, which uses a form of BASIC I believe.

Being a 90's kid is no excuse! :-) BASIC is still used today, only now it is known as Visual BASIC.
