Questions & Comments
Hello,
In order to have better results with your auction, please add more details regarding your item. Information such as make, model number, condition, any known issues and any other specific details particular to your item will go a long way in instilling confidence in potential bidders. This will also reduce the number of questions that your bidders will have to ask. For an even more productive auction experience (more bids, possibly higher credits received), we also recommend that you post a clear, close-up picture of your item with it powered on (showing current date clearly if it has that capability), as well as with it powered off. A picture of the back side too will help you, all with the same background. Also, it’s HIGHLY recommended that you write your Listia username on a piece of paper and have it next to your item when you take a picture of it. It adds bidder confidence that you in fact have this item in your possession.
While this isn't a requirement, this is requested so that sellers get higher bids from more bidders, and for the protection of our users who might be interested in bidding on your item. It'll also prevent your auction from getting flagged by users. We don't want your auction to get deleted for seeming like it's not real. Thanks for your cooperation and good luck with your auction!

The MINUTE someone joins Listia, disregards any attempt at VALID verification, and starts posting up high ticket items - it's Red Flag Time.
You may call it 'hating', 'dissing', 'being mean', etc., etc. etc. - but the fact remains it is a Red Flag Listing and should be approached with caution.
Scammers LOVE new, inexperienced Listians who jump to their rescue when they are being asked to provide simple evidence that they are a REAL person offering a REAL item.
I have yet to see anyone - in at least a few hundred listings - actually receive a new iPod like this from a new user listing like this. The potential to see otherwise will not increase until the seller takes the initiative to validate themselves.
It does not make me a hater, or a meanie, or whatever when I ask for verification.
I, personally, had a friend join Listia yesterday. And one of the FIRST things I instructed them on was NOT to start with high ticket items. The next most important thing I told them was to get verification in place BEFORE offering anything. So saying "Oh, I know all about the site because my friend has been here forever and told me all I need to know..." is completely bogus to me and makes this listing look even worse.
How would YOU tell YOUR 'Best Friend' to approach Listia? Would you tell them to just jump in with NO verification and immediately offer up a NEW iPod 4th Generation and see what happens...? NO - YOU WOULD NOT.
No one with 'real' Listia experience would. And therefore I SERIOUSLY doubt the validity of that explanation and reasoning. It's just another Red Flag.
* mrpanda24 ;- just pointing out to people who dont know any better that this user hasent verified anything! and the other auction the questions werent answered for days and they did soter my comment! try looking at dates and times. in a nice way;)
I would probably bid on this is at least something was verified...a phone number, a bank account, those are both super quick and easy to verify. I'm new as well but verified everything prior to my first listing and listing and am listing a few smaller auctions to boost my feedback to earn others trust before I start listing higher dollar items =(
SHELTONII why are you leaving dumb comments on everyones auctions? i saw an auction and the seller replyed to every single comment and you told everyone not to bid! please stop. im trying to say this in a nice way.
what gen is it and how many gbs? and new as in never used or you had it not very long? if it had been used everything still work any scratches and id like to see the back and close up of the screen. thanks.
