Synopsis
Twenty-three years after the terrible Hinamizawa Disaster, five strangers are drawn together to the abandoned mountain village by fate. One of them claims to be Mion Sonozaki, who was supposed to have died in the incident that claimed the lives of all the villagers. But only one thing is certain: Oyashiro-sama's curse did not die with the village. Will these five be able to survive the night?

With Mion's name clearly printed among the names of those killed in Hinamizawa twenty years ago, suspicion for the murder falls on her. But Mion isn't the only one whose story doesn't quite add up. How did the killer know Otobe's was the only phone with a signal? How could Otobe's friends have simply "disappeared"? Is it really the work of demons, or is there a murderer among them?

One of my favorite series. Highly recommend.

so this is for the manga, not the anime, correct? your description threw me off a bit and the picture shows volume 2? i'm confused >_>; i read Higurashi When the Cry vol. 1, so this is vol. 10 (not 2 as pictured) of that series?

It is volume two of the beyond midnight arc & volume 10 of the whole series. This is the manga adaption, as this arc also being a manga only special.

I have the whole series released in english so far, along with a bunch of the japanese ones.. but I am only getting rid of my duplicates & overstock that I couldn't sell elsewhere.
