I wore them around the house a couple times like slippers, but they have a rubber sole just like shoes . I think they would be cute with leggings and a longer shirt . Just depends how you would like to wear them .

I'm not sure what kind of material , but it is soft and not itchy . The inside of the shoe is also very very soft .
