well hun we are all just wondering how you got the $40 price cause if this would fit into a large priority usps box it doesnt matter how heavy it is atleast not as long as it is unde 70 pounds so if you shipped in a large usps flat rate box it would only be $16(15.95). You can even order these boxes off usps and they will ship them to your home all for free ! So if you would do that i am sure you would get bids and high on this item .... go to this link http://postcalc.usps.gov/
if it would not fit in a large flat rate box then se is probably right it would then cost more ina regular brwon shipping box /packing box and for the weight of the item.
