Seeds for growing your own BLACK PEPPER !!

Yep - - like for drying and grinding yourself and enjoying from your own good old table pepper shaker. Also for white pepper!

botanical name : Piper nigrum

Hardy in USDA zones 10b-11; suitable to be grown indoors in a container elsewhere.

This evergreen, woody climber (vine) from India and Sri Lanka can grow to 15 ft. if allowed and given sufficient strong supports to take its weight.

Its leaves are glossy, dark green, veined, heart shaped, and it bears spikes of small, white flowers June - August. The round fruit turns red when ripe.

Likes a well drained, fertile soil in light shade, with high humidity. Minimum temperature is 61ºF.

When the just ripe pepper corns are harvested they are dried which causes them to wrinkle and turn black.

White pepper is the same berry but has the skin removed.

All seeds I offer have been treated with ground cinnamon to help inhibit seedling problems with damp-off.

PayPal will let you use one of your credit cards even if you do not have a PayPal acct. - - - however, why not just send me a self-addressed envelope with a couple of FOREVER stamps, LOOSE, not affixed?

saves you the cost of a money order and using a credit card to send one dollar is just nuts

It is hardy in USDA zones 10b-11; suitable to be grown indoors in a container elsewhere. I do not know the time between germination and flowering or bearing its fruit (berries).
