If this does not speak street names, , how does it tell you to turn? Also is this the 205w version? I am VERY interested so please reply. SD card comes with it?

it tells you turn left and turn right or take exit in 1 mile 500 yrds and so forth and its just the 205 not 205w and no sd but it has a micro sd slot and they are fairly cheap

no you can use the gps with out paying but if you want the new maps or points of interest then you will have to pay. I believe that lifetime updates only cost a one time fee of 120 from garmin you can buy the lifetime upgrades at Target

yes in fact that was the main reason i bought this it has the option to manually put in the coordinates for the geo tag

wait a minute I am confused so unless I buy the new maps it would give me directions to get to places as I am always,always getting lost lol so this would come in handy but I just want to make sure it is going to still work without having to pay 120? Thanks!

it will still work but if you want the latest and newly discovered routes then you'll have to update on the other hand no it will work with out the updates and it has a bunch of points of interest preloaded

thats for the lifetime updates you can update it for 69 for the one time i do believe

i checked on garmins website it cost 69.99 for a 1 year update or 119.99 for lifetime upgrades the maps on it now are from march of 2008

update there is maps on ebay for around 43 that are the 2010 or 2011 maps so know that you can update it fairly cheap and for if you do the update for 43 its cheaper thana new gps and this is a loaded gps with many features in great condition

ok, one more thing, it has a picture viewer right, so pics from your micro sd card can be viewed on here. Can you set one of your pics as wallpaper? Doesnt matter to me, someone just told me i can do that with my 255w, and I was wondering about this one.
