Description
The listing, Very Pretty Sterling Silver Ring w/Pink Stone has ended.
Stamped 925 on one side and 8 on the other for the size. Sorry that you cant really read the 925 in the picture but it really is. The ring is very pretty. I'm unsure if the stone is real. I really doubt if it is because I'm unaware of any pink stones that exist anyway. It is very light in color. It is also very sparkly and the ring has a unique shape to it.
The stone looks to be a carat in size and an oval in shape.
Questions & Comments
I had a couple of these exact rings, and despite having the 925 stamp, they they turned out to be silver plated. They are also being sold elsewhere as being silver plated. You may want to check with a jeweler or pawn shop before your auction ends so you don't have to deal with a bunch of problems afterwards.
I was needing some money a while back and took some of the rings in to a gold buyer and they bought them from me as silver. I haven't had any trouble like that, sure hope I don't. Its not right for manufacturers to falsify their products and make you believe that you're getting one thing when you aren't.
That's too bad, because silver really isn't all that expensive. It can be when you don't have the money, which is why I love Listia. Then again, it is bad to feel like you get taken advantage of just because it's free.
Well, I guarantee you these are plated and not sterling. I had 2 with settings EXACTLY like these. Just different color stones. (I had 36 of these rings all together) I have 3 of the listed right now. Just different settings. If you want proof, let me know. I'll give you a link to this ring listed online as we speak, as being "S80 / Silver Alloy" And or, I'll give you the link to my old Listia auction, too. Saddest part is it's not a manufacturer. It's China. There are laws in the US against marking them as sterling when only plated. Laws against selling them as sterling when only plated, also. That's why I don't understand why people insist on doing that on here. As soon as put the ring in the mail to someone, you've committed a federal crime. And people are getting prosecuted for it, too. eBay is way worse then here. But, at least ebay posts warnings to their buyers. On here, you have to rely on other members to be honest enough and or care enough to tell you. It speaks volumes that you didn't just freak out and block anyone saying the truth about the ring. It means you are an honest person. Thank you for that. (I have a list of people that aren't)And Listia isn't free for everyone. Some people like it enough to even invest/ spend a lot of money Lol! =)
It is a beautiful ring. And even more beautiful in person, I know. The colors of the stones in these rings are awesome, as well. This one in particular is even nicer because of its size. It is a very stunning ring to wear. =)
