'm offering for your growing pleasure one seed pod from my Pink Mimosa (albizia julibrissens) tree.

These seeds start easily, although they can take up to a couple of weeks to germinate. Plant them about 1/4" deep in a paper cup as shown in the photo, a pot with potting soil, or outdoors! They will grow happily in sun or shade. I don't recommend trying these outdoors if you are lower than Zone 4.

I do recommend that you plant them in the place you want them to grow for a long time, because Mimosa do not like being moved, no matter how carefully you move them! Somehow they just know, LOL. If you were to plant them in a fiber or peat moss starter pot, you could just drop that into a larger pot of soil later and that would be fine.
