FREE: Very Old US 5c Stamp from 1898

Here's another VERY old US stamp-- it's a 5c blue with a portrait of former President Ulysses S. Grant, Scott number 281 from 1898, although I am NOT an expert on US stamps. It is in used condition-- quite presentable for a piece of paper over 110 years old!

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away over the past couple of years, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad collected stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
