FREE: Very Old US Internal Revenue Stamp from 1871

For your consideration: another VERY old US stamp-- it's a 2c orange Internal Revenue stamp. I am NOT an expert on US stamps, so I'm not sure about this-- the neat signature dates it to May 17, 1871-- so 140+ years old! It is in used condition and looks to be in excellent fault-free quality-- who knows, might be worth something!

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away over the past couple of years, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad collected stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
