I took a picture of the necklace around my neck so you could get an idea of where it lies on the collar bone. It does have a safety chain at the clasp that will allow you to extend its length another 3 inches if needed.
It is set in genuine silver, so you must be sure to keep it cleaned and stored properly when not in use as it will be a headache to polish if it gets too tarnished, due to all the prongs and settings. It is a beauty though.
