Not a silly question at all. They were sold to me as "made in Greece", and I took the seller at their word. Let me do a little research this morning. I certainly do not want to misrepresent anything. Thanks for asking!

I did a Google search and found lots of listings for "Greek ceramic beads" which look like mine. I thought they were ceramic but wasn't sure so went with "clay" instead.
