I took this out of the wrapper that contained two cartridges, so is that broken to you?

What happened is, I got these about 3 weeks ago from HP online. This one came in the same wrapper as a black one that was the right size. This one is not. I honestly didn't check the date and no longer have the wrapper. I trusted HP.

I only meant, if the seal that's attached to where the ink is, if that has been removed. Reason asking is that, if it has, the ink can dry up and it can cause problems for the printer heads not to perform properly. If you had already tried to insert this into your printer and it doesn't fit, that would only mean that the seal has been removed.

It is in one piece. The only thing that was removed was the wrapper.

I was just about to ask the same thing 2BOrNot2B asked. Please let me know if the cartridge still has the seal on it (it looks like a tab of plastic that you peel off before using), I'm interested :)
