Description

The listing, water lettuce babies has ended.

It is almost fall and my plants have made babies. If anyone is interested I can send a baby to you. They are not hardy in Michigan so maybe someone can use them, they will just die here over the winter. They grow very fast and make babies similar to hens and chicks. I like to grow them in bowls and pots around the garden and in vases inside the house. Very pretty in a tall clear vase with colored rocks or crystals in the bottom. They are also useful in aquariums for fish to eat but be aware they will eat all of the plant!

Remember what I said about the fish eating all of the plant! I put two babies in with two goldfish and they were gone within two weeks. The plants don't multiply that fast! :-) If there is enough interest I will relist this auction though or if you win I will give you the option of a larger qty for additional postage paid so you can grow some in a pot and put in the aquarium as they are used up. Funny pond fish don't seem to eat them up like aquarium fish do I don't know why that is???!!!!!

Hi, I believe I can get two or three of the little ones such as the size in the pot at the top of the photo into an envelope. They are about an inch or so wide. Or maybe two of the larger ones. I guess I will give the winner the choice of size and figure out the quantity that will fit in the envelope. If the winner wishes to pay the postage for a larger quantity of plants I can put more in a manilla envelope.

hehe. that's why i love bettas! they don't eat plants at all, so they'll be safe. :3 goldfish, however, DO eat plants(which is why some hobbiests feed them blanched lettuce and other veggies), so that might be why yours got eaten. thank you SO much!

HA is that the deal. I don't know much about aquarium fish. I just didn't want someone to put them in and be mad at me because they were eaten. I will edit my description to include that information.
