Beautiful orange flowers. It is the host plant for the Monarch butterfly, it attracts other butterflies as well. It is a very hardy, trustworthy pre-annual and is drought tolerant.
Questions & Comments
Do you take paypal? I want to bid but I'm not going to spend a 45 cent stamp to send you 50 cents. I'm even wondering if paypal would allow me to send 50 cents! Neda I fanned you
So sorry, I listed so fast I didn't check spelling it should be perennial, meaning that it comes back every year. They would grow well on Ohio. They need an area with 6-8 hours of sun and don't mind the soil to be a little sandy. They also grow pretty canoe shapped seed pods. They make beautiful flower arrangements. They are often seen growing in the wild. Mine had so many monarch eggs that I had to remove some of the caterpillars, put them in a covered tank feed they some butterfly weed clippings and watched the process of they butterfly evolving and set them free. It was qiute amazing to watch. I removed some of them because they would have eaten the whole plant, it would have still grown back but I wanted to still see my beautiful plant along with the butterflies! They grow long tuber roots so its best to start from seed. Whats even more beautiful is if you have a butterfly bush, after they turn to butterflies they leave the butterfly weed and go to the butterfly bush. Butterfly weed is actually in the milkweed family
