Does these produce the actual yucca to eat or just flowers?

Personally I would not eat the flowers because it would probably give me a stomach
ache.

Yucca is a vegetable that looks like a dark brown long potatoe, but is much firmer and tastes different than a potatoe. Since I don't have alot of experience with growing alot of plants including yucca vegetable, I was asking if this plant produces the vegetable or if it only flowers.

I spoke with my hubby, who is Latino and he told me that this is not a yucca plant. It is called "flor de itabo". Yucca plant looks totally different. You can see it here: http://argalladas.enlugo.com/fotoblog/foto.67.php
I learn something new tonight. :-)

They are called Yucca here. Some are white and a few blue.
Maybe your potato yucca is in very warm climates.

In spanish, the only letters that double are "R". So in Spanish, the word yuuca is spelled yuca.

You Say Yuca, I Say Yucca.
There are many plants/tubers called yuca or yucca - some are safe to eat, some aren't. The following information was culled from a number of sources.
