Here's a nice "classic era" stamp from FRANCE, issued in 1876. It is a 30 centimes brown from the Peace and Commerce series. It is in used condition with no faults-- these old stamps from France can be hard to find without faults! It is Scott's number 82, and has a catalogue value of US $1.40.

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away over the past couple of years, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad collected stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
