I have this card of the Great 'Spitball' pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, Burleigh Grimes. He was also in the National League back in 1917.. He twirled for Six National League clubs and played in four world's series.

He was born on a farm in Wisconsin and worked in the lumber camps, where he developed considerable strength. Then, he broke into baseball in 1913 with Ottunwa in the Central Association. He lived in New Haven, Mo. Batted and threw right-handed. He was five feet, 10 inches tall and wrighed in at 190 lbs.

This is a Big League Chewing Gum Card. On the back of the card, the card number is No. 64, by Big League Chewing Gum, Goudey Gum Co out of Boston, Mass. It is a Dover Reprint.
