It has magnetic wells for makeup pans. The empty wells are a little larger than average (say, MAC pans) but they would fit, just loosely. If your pans aren't the kind of metal that would stay in this case with the magnet you could use double-sided tape. One side of the hinge on the lid has broken, but it still closes fine. This palette retails for $20 and even with the hinge broken it's a nice, sleek compact.
