maam i believe you have a Mon Kanei Tsuho japanese coin there i am fairly certain and its made of brass which would explain a magnet not sticking to it as well.hope that helps :D

ive seen those coins before, someone i knew brought them back from japan. they should be actual currency, but if you wear them as a necklace or something (5 coins i think) it is some sort of good luck charm. i think, this info may be flawed
