Offered is an early 1920's unused post card showing the Grand Lobby of the Union Station in Kansas Ctiy. The grand opening of Union Station Kansas City on October 30, 1914, celebrated the third largest train station in the country and a building designed to last over 200 years. The highly ornate station featured a room 94 x 240 feet with ornate ceiling some 60 feet over head. The station was preserved and is a KC landmark. This is a great card for railway enthusiast, KC resident, Missouri historian or teacher or others that have passed through the station.
