Description
The listing, 1930's Unused Nebraska Capitol At Night Post Card has ended.
Offered is an unused 1930's post card of the Nebraska State Capitol building. The Bertram Goodhue designed building took ten years to build from 1922 to 1932 at a cost of $10 million. The post card shows the Capitol soon after completed. A great card for the Nebraska resident, historian or teacher, collector of State Capitol and other landmark post cards and others.
Questions & Comments
Nebraska is the only state with a one house or unicameral legislature. The state voted to end the senate and house to have only one legislative body during the depression. Other states have attempted to adopt the unicameral system but when proposed in other states, the house or senate to be eliminated, killed the bills. Definitely, a great cost savings and streamlined state government has resulted.
