Hi! I see that you are in texas and wanted to know what type of soil this plant grows best in. I also live in texas and I have sandy clay. Would it need alot of water? Oh, also, is it invasive?

Hi. I have blackland in south central Texas, and my brother has some on his place near Fort Worth with a sandy loam. They grow well in both places. In dry times, I water; otherwise, they do okay without much attention. They grow pretty big; my plants are about 4 feet by 4 feet. My brother has had his longer than I have, but they are about the same size.
