Are these commercial bulbs or did you grow them yourself?

Ok, cool . . . I have chemical sensitivities, but that shouldn't be a problem!

Do these grow over the winter or do they sprout in the spring? Do you recommend planting them right away, or waiting till the rains start or waiting till spring?

They sprout in the spring and will stay until any frost destroys them. They stop flowering around September but still have the foilage. They will grow in the shade or sun, but if you want the pink flowers you will want to put them in sun. The foliage will grow in both sun and shade. It really depends on where you live and your zone. If you live in mild zone you can plant them now and they will bloom in spring. But if you have harsh winters, you should plant them in the spring. You'll want to dig them up over winter or move them into an indoor environment. They make great container plants in harsh winter areas because you can move them indoors easily.
