NO, it is not real Gold (At least I do not believe it to be)
Was purchased in May 2012 but Mom doesn't wear Gold so this is an UNUSED Necklace.
Would have gladly liked to return it. I paid $13.97 @ Wal Mart

On a 18" Necklace / Heart Pendant charm says MOM and is nearly 1" big
Chain is quite dainty thin.
Condition: MINT, New, Unused.
No name, date, initials are to be found. Classic Clasp closure on end.

"Will it turn my neck Green?" I would have no idea since I do not know how you react to jewelry.
"Is it real Gold?" Looks like you missed the part above where I mention this
