Here's another VERY old US stamp-- it's a 2c orange red with Andrew Jackson, I think it is Scott number 183 from 1879, although I am NOT an expert on US stamps. It is in used condition with an interesting "E" postmark and part of the date "83"; seems in quite good condition for such an old stamp. It is a bit "better" stamp with a $5.00 value in the Scott's catalogue.

This week it is ALL older better stamps from the USA.

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away over the past couple of years, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad collected stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
