FREE: Old 1899 2c US Stamp with George Washington

The listing, Old 1899 2c US Stamp with George Washington has ended.

Here's another old US stamp-- it's a 2c bright pinkish red with George Washington. I think it's a "type III," but have a look at the larger picture. It has a watermark. I believe Scott number 267a from 1899, but I am NOT an expert on US stamps. It is in used condition with a very unusual "fancy" cancel in the shape of a star. No faults or damage that I can tell.

Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away over the past couple of years, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad collected stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.

I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
