Sorry! You can check out the listia rules of what is not allowed. Visa, Mastercard, American Express are not allowed. No prepaid cards with there logos on Listia as of yesterday there was a serious crackdown. Someone felled to follow through on a visa tiered auction that went out of control. The bidder wasn't paid. So we Trustworthy sellers
all must pay.We all must follow their rules. There are many other choices available for you to choose from. I guess we have to make do with what we can. I hope you will find another choice that you would like. Thanks for looking! Happy bidding!

There is more than just one visa left!! But anymore after those are gone. I went and checked it out ;-P And yea that one gift card must have been the talk of the week after it went so high! lol my friends and I were like there's NO way!, and also she/he only had 2 bidders from the beginning, kinda strange...

The problem was that credits went so high that the final tally owed by the seller to the winner of the auction was more than $1,000. The seller decided not to send the gift cards, then the buyer gave him positive feedback anyway ... very suspicious. Then the seller of the gift card was the person winning the ipad, for about the same amount of credits. Although he said he refunded the credits for the gift card, it just seemed suspicious.

That seller also, over the months, has treated a LOT of other listia members badly. He's clearly got MUCH bigger problems than being a jerk on Listia, or possibly is a teenager (child), but it created a lot of anger and hard feelings. So, most of us believe that is why Listia stopped allowing cash-based gift cards (Visa, MC, etc).

So, a lot of us are just trying to get back on track with fun things on LIstia. I also think it is a shame that cash cards are no longer allowed ... I mean, what's the difference between that and other gift cards? But, oh well ....

When are they gonna bring back charity auctions? I'm New but I would like to list some stuff If it goes for a worthy charity like the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation http://ww5.komen.org I send $5.00 a month to them I wish I could do more. Everyone should check out the website.

Awesome auction! And I am so sad to learn about the Visa gift cards, it is the ONLY reason I joined and have been auctioning off stuff, to bid on a general card like Visa so my husband and I could have a date night without feeling guilty. I really hope they bring them back!!

It is very very sad that it came down to 1 person spoiling it for so many! what gets me is listia told me that their reason had "NOTHING" to do w/ that listing! Funny how it happened just after that. Said that Ebay even has rules against the visa prepaid type cards and that it's too much like cash so you can go pretty much anywhere Visa is allowed. Great for that gas emergency. A medication at the pharmacy when you run out of money (which listia if you're watching has happened to me and one of my wonderful listia members who i won a card from and happened to have in my purse Saved the Day - and my pharmacy is Winn-dixie - better prices on my meds the CVS/ Walgreens so a CVS/ Walmart card isn't going to help me on my medications now that my insurance had to be changed and it's a cost share that pays less then 50% so one of my husband's meds WITH the Insurance is $398 at winn-dixie, $599 at walmart, $474 at CVS, $491 at Walgreens). When you run short of money these cards come in VERY HANDY w/ the Visa very sad we can't have them back but I'll find a card i can use to get a few things. Just a shame. Esp many mods used to even bid and list Visa Cards themselves. So in MY OPINION it was Savage1106's auction that ruined it for people like myself that desperately needs and relies on these Visa Auctions! Ok enuf Said I'll shut up but I did want to thank everyone for supporting myself, and several others by contacting listia to tell them how you feel.

And thanks PrincessApril for allowing me to voice my opinion too and to be able to bid on an awesome auction..just deciding what to ask for if i win! (can you get winndixie gift cards where you are? - just wondering)

Oh one thing i did want to say. I agreen w/ Nat. I was one and she was another that when it came to the ipad thingy and we were discussing it he became a basher along w/ that person who actually won his auction. then he gets his credits refunded but stlil give him positive feedback?! come on now. And it wasn't the first time one of HIS HIGH AUCTIONS went crazy and there were problems. There were problems b4 w/ this sellers high auctions.Some were removed and flagged others he had other issues.
I even told Twincere that I backed out of the laptop #1 b/c I knew her kids really needed one (I always wanted a mac) and #2 -I just had a gut feeling about this one w/ him and was hoping i was wrong! Unfortunately I was right! What I don't get is #1 this is NOT this sellers first time having issues! and #2 - why with all these issues this person was never at the very least suspended / banned?! I know of others who were suspended or banned for less. Not going to name names but a lot of people for a while remember some of the people. I still don't get why not put a cap so we can have more fun again?! and #2- Why not just go after those that have impacted that that auction in particular the Seller?
ok i'm done and i hope i win this one ..gonna feel wierd having to decide where to spend the money if i win. B4 just kept it in my purse for emergencies where ever that would land me.

The Suspicious part is HOW if he refunded The credits from the gift card, he still had enough credits to bid on the iPad.
We all look at feedback That is all we have to count on.
I myself would not leave positive feedback when I just lost $1000+ and my credits.
