They are made of rubber/plastic. You can wash in the dishwasher. They are in good shape. They don't "do" anything.

My daughter has that blue whale but he came with a bunch of different squirter's. I am assuming they are all squirters? and they are safe to put in the dish washer? Hmmmm my daughter's get full of ick because its hard to squirt them when they are cold so all the water never gets out. So I have to soak them in hot bleach and fill them up with it. I recently had to throw one away because it was impossible to clean.

Whoops! These do squirt. You have to squeeze them while holding them under water to get them to fill up.
