No i didn't grow these, since i moved this year, and my gardening was severly interupted. Pintos are always a bush bean. Lots of beans on one bush though.
Pintos are very easy to grow. Most times, simply plant them in your garden, and give them a little water from time to time, and they will make some delicious meals. Easy to freeze, and easy to can them. I like to eat these boiled with a little bacon, and a pan of cornbread. Course, some onion and a pepper goes great with them too, and even a smoked sausage.
How about drying them for later...Do you have to have a dehydrator or can you air dry them for use later? Sounds like I am going to plant a lot of beans..lol
Yes, you can dry them for storage. They can be air dried, left on the vines to dry out, or you can use a dehydrator. I have collected dried beans from the plants, and they are delicous.
